For that special day
I don’t know about you ladies but I think the 1950s typify the ultimate style for a bride.
I was 19 when I ran off to Niagara Falls to get married – I’ve always been impetuous. I was living in Toronto at the time and the Mister sold his ’59 Cadillac and we hopped onto a Greyhound bus to Niagara. I didn’t even have time to make a new dress which is a bit of a shame since the world was at my fingertips. I married in a pale blue halterneck fishtail dress with spots, that I had already made. I had the choice between that and a red and black leopard pencil dress. Sometimes I think I should have opted for the wilder option. Today who knows what I would have picked… not a choice a girl should ever rush!
I like to make things easy for you, which means here at Vivien of Holloway our bridal range is quite traditional. I do love seeing all the fabulous wedding ideas you ladies have. It is such a special day, and your choice of dress reflects your individual taste. We all have our own ideas of what makes that day perfect, so we have created a few ideas to inspire you, but I don’t think anything could be as inspiring as some of your own gorgeous weddings you have sent us.
