Beautiful and Sustainable: Meet our new Linen Katharine Trousers

Our Katherine trousers have been a staple favourite for many years now. Every season I try to add a Wild card. For years I have been meaning to make Linen for Summer using fabulous oversized buttons. Now we normally use quite big buttons but these really are statement buttons and oh so pretty. I always look around for the best trims I can find but mostly I look to my own collection. I have been buying trims and buttons for over 40 years. My button collection Im sure goes into the 100’s of thousands. Every time we make a new style that has buttons we look through our button catalogue I made during covid to choose the best possible match. This is all part of the fun and one of the great things of manufacturing just a couple of miles from our office in London.

Lots of our buttons are still on their original cards and date back as far as the 1930’s. Although it is a shame to take them off of the cards it is great to see them being worn. So please handle them with care. Your trousers may be new but your buttons could be almost 100 years old.

Fabric: These linen trousers are 70% Ramie 30% Cotton. We are all familiar with Cotton but maybe not with Ramie.
